One of the strangest aspects of re-watching movies is how the experience affects one’s opinion of certain stories and characters. For example, the movies you loved as a child can change before your eyes when you watch them again as an adult or even as a parent with children of your own.

Even having the opportunity to sit back and thoughtfully analyze a character’s choices can turn a previously beloved movie character into someone you despise, and vice versa.

So, with that in mind, I’ve rounded up 10 movie characters who maybe, maybe too admired by the audience, as well as 9 movie characters who deserve it more love as received from the masses:
