36 people died in the fire at the workshop in central China

BEIJING — A fire at a workshop in the city of Anyang in central China’s Henan province has killed 36 people, Chinese state media said on Tuesday.

State media reports said two more people were injured and two were missing. The fire broke out on Monday afternoon around 4 p.m., and it took the firefighters several hours to put it out.

More than 200 search and rescue personnel and 60 firemen went out to fight the fire.
