Clemson’s NIL squad has two of the best recruits on the team

Based on ESPN, five-star linebacker Sammy Brown and four-star wide receiver Bryant Wesco have decided to play college ball at Clemson. Brown comes in He ranks 17th in ESPN’s top 300 players in his class while Wesco comes No. 23. There’s nothing out of the ordinary about two really good football players choosing to play for a really good coach at a really good program. But it’s hilarious considering Dabo Swinney is the centerpiece.

“We try to teach our guys, create opportunities with the help of football, take advantage of the platform and the brand, as well as the marketing available to you. But when it comes to player pay and the professionalization of college athletics, that’s where you lose. I’m going to do something else because there’s enough entitlement in this world as it is.” Swinney infamously said in 2014.

Lied.

When NIL came into effect On July 1, 2021, Swinney did not resign. Last December, he said, “We built this program on the NIL… We built this program in the name, image and likeness of God.” And in March the The Tigers unveiled a facility dedicated to student-athlete branding and education.

“We’ll call it CAB because what does a taxi do? It lifts your destination.” Swinney said. “But imagine, you have to pay the fare.” We can’t do it for you. You have to do the work. I’m really excited about it because it’s a living, breathing space where our guys know they can call for expertise.

“If you’re injured, go to the gym. If you want to get stronger, go to the weight room. It was an opportunity for our guys to learn that if you want help with branding and sponsorship, NIL, tax education and finance and all these very real issues, you should go to The CAB where we have a dedicated place where people are ready to help them.”

Football decision

It’s amazing how quickly a scam can sneak up on you. However, according to Brown and Wesco, it appears to have been a football decision.

“I really like what they’re doing defensively, and I think if Barrett Carter and Jeremiah Trotter leave next year, I’ll have a good chance to come in and compete for some playing time.” Brown said. “So I think, as I said, everything fell into place. … They have a good scheme and Coach Goodwin is very aggressive with the linebackers. We can flash a lot, so it’s going to be a really, really fun program to play in.”

“I’d like to go to a school where the offense is the priority and then puts the ball in the hands of the receivers.” Wesco told ESPN. “Not necessarily in every piece, but [a program that] there will be an insult around to let the receivers make a name for themselves and play big games.

They are rivals and 247 Sports Clemson is ranked eighth in the 2024 team recruiting rankings, while on the 3rd placing them in fourth place. ESPN has them 15. Performance Five conferences combined $3.3 billion in revenue in fiscal 2022and Clemson’s Conference – The ACC – Earned $617 million with payouts between $37.9 million and $41.3 million, while Swinney A 10-year contract that will pay him $115 million.

Sammy Brown and Bryant Wesco may have chosen Clemson because it was the best decision for their playing careers. But Death Valley is also a place where players are taught how to make money, even though their coach was very against the idea – while making millions off their backs.
