Speaking of relationships, you met your girlfriend Miracle Watts on set P-valley. What attracted you to him in the first place, and now that you know him better, what do you find most attractive about him?

I think what attracted me the most to this role is that we all like a certain cheerfulness, a certain cheerfulness, or a glitzy look. She is a beautiful woman. and you know Harlem there’s Tracy Oliver and Meagan Good, and it’s Amazon…you know, the shiny packages. There’s a complexity underneath that I look for in everything I get involved in, whether it’s a role or a relationship. Just the juxtaposition of who he was; yes, on the surface it’s one-way, but underneath there’s something I need, something I can relate to, and something that sustains me in the long run.

I say the same to him Harlem. It’s not just a show to smile at the screen and collect money. It’s something I’m really passionate about and something I really believe in. I love that Ian is a man of the process, trying to figure out who he is and what he stands for, because I am. I feel like we all feel that and who we are as humans.
