Manage and share files online using NordLocker
With NordLocker you can store, manage and share individual files. Learn how in this step-by-step guide.

If you’re looking for a secure place to store, manage and share your files in the cloud, NordLocker is one option.
With a free or paid NordLocker account, you can secure your cloud storage with a standard and master password. After uploading the files you want to store, you can move, rename, delete and download any file. Plus, you can now easily share a file with another person by creating a link and sending a security code. Here’s how it works.

NordLocker pricing plans
NordLocker offers several personal and business plans with different prices and features.
- Free: The free plan limits you to 3GB of online storage and offers email support.
- Personal: The personal plan, priced at $7.99 per month or $35.88 per year, provides 500GB of storage with 24/7 premium support.
- Personal plus: The Personal Plus plan offers 2 TB of storage for $19.99 per month or $83.88 per year.
- Business: For $12.99 per month or $107.88 per year, the Business plan provides 500GB of storage with access control via an admin subscription and other business-related features.
- Business Plus: For $18.99 per month or $179.88 per year, the Business Plus plan offers the same features as the Business plan, but adds 2TB of online storage.
Each package provides end-to-end encryption, so your data is protected in transit, at rest, and when shared. Encrypted files can be up to 8GB in size.

How to login or register a NordLocker account
If you already have a NordLocker account, browse to the home page, click the Login link at the top and log in with your credentials.
If you don’t have an account yet, go to the Sign Up page. Enter your email address and reply to the verification email. Next, create a password for the account, then create a master password to further secure your files (Figure A).

How to make a locker in NordLocker
If you’re using NordLocker for the first time, you’ll need to create a locker to securely store your online files. You can create as many cabinets as you need, each with different types of files.
Click the Create Cabinet button. Enter the name of the cabinet and click the Create button (Figure B).

Add files
Then add the files you want to store in the locker. Drag them from your computer to the cabinet window or click the Upload Files button and select them from the File Manager (Figure C).

Create folders
Uploaded files are automatically encrypted. You can organize your files in a cabinet by creating a folder.
Click the New Folder button at the top. Name the folder and click Create (Figure D).

Manage files in NordLocker
Click on a specific file to view it. To manage a file, click its three-dot icon and choose an action from the drop-down menu in the following menu:
- Move to move the file to a specific folder.
- Rename to give the file a new name.
- Delete to remove the file.
- Download to download a copy of the file to your computer.
- Download as ZIP to download a compressed copy of the file (Figure E).

You can run certain commands on multiple files by selecting two or more files and choosing an action from the top toolbar:
- Download obsession Download as ZIP to download the selected files to your computer.
- Move to move them to a specific folder.
- Delete remove them (Figure F).

Sharing files in NordLocker
One of NordLocker’s newest options is sharing a copy of your file with someone else. To do this, click the ellipsis icon next to the file you want to share and select Share a copy. Click the Create Link button to create a link to access the file (Figure G).

In response, NordLocker displays a link to the file and the security code required to access the file.
Click the Copy button to copy the link, then do the same for the security code (Figure H). You then need to send the file link and security code to everyone you want to share the file with.

NordLocker recommends using separate methods to share the file link and security code. Note that the people who want to access the file do not need their own NordLocker account.
After accessing the link, the recipient or recipients must enter the security code for access and click Continue (Figure I).

The name of the file appears in NordLocker, where the person can view it online or download it to their device. By default, the link expires after two weeks.
