NBA games to watch: Nuggets-76ers, Lakers-Bulls, Mavericks-Hawks

When: April 2, 6:00 PM EST
Where to watch: NBA TV, Bally Sports SE, Bally Sports SW
Two disappointments meet to try to hold on to what is left of six months of unfulfilled waiting. The Mavericks reached the Western Conference finals last season, and the Hawks looked good before Dejounte Murray’s injury on Thanksgiving Day.
March is almost over and the Mavericks are on the outside looking in for the entire postseason after an embarrassing loss to the Charlotte Hornets. On Sunday, Trae Young unleashed his superpower of not consistently hitting shots 30+ feet and the Hawks lost a winnable game to the Grizzlies.
The Hawks will have to spontaneously combust to fall out of the East, but it would be beneficial to at least get their first game. The Mavericks traded for Kyrie Irving on February 6th. At the time, they were three games over .500 and riding a three-game winning streak. Since then, they have won five games and are currently on a four game losing streak.
The Hawks may be more solid in the postseason, but at least the Mavericks can say they didn’t fire a coach for the second time in a row during the season.
