Seoul: North Korea launches missile 2 days after ICBM test
Seoul, South Korea — South Korea says North Korea fired a ballistic missile toward its eastern waters.
South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said the launch was carried out on Monday morning, but did not provide further details, such as how far the weapon flew.
North Korea resumed weapons tests two days ago by launching an intercontinental ballistic missile.
North Korea’s state media said on Sunday that its latest ICBM test was aimed at further strengthening its “deadly” nuclear strike capacity and threatened further forceful action over upcoming military exercises between the United States and South Korea.
The United States responded by flying long-range supersonic bombers on Sunday in separate exercises with South Korean and Japanese warplanes.
